This idea for this project germinated in the fall of 2020, a year marked by the near absence of live music along with much other social interaction. I had just retired from software engineering and began to reacquaint myself with my love of writing and playing music.

 

Advances in music recording and processing technology have made it feasible to record music with others, regardless of being separated by time and distance, and compile a finished song, as if they were all in the studio with you in real time.

 

The relationships on this album go all the way back from high school, two colleges, years of performing with bands and orchestras, up through current performing ensembles.

What better way to reconnect old friendships (some over 50 years old) and remember previous gigs, than to once again, make music together?
